Plasma Treatment

Plasma eye corrector treatment is recommended for the eye, jaw and neck area. The chin area can also benefit where enlarged pores are present, using a scarifying protocol that has reduced downtime. Plasma correction around the eye area is one of the most popular treatments, with age spots and small skin irregularities also responding very well.

It is important that any suspicious skin lesions are first checked by a GP before treatment. In most cases, this is straightforward and medical approval is readily given.

How Plasma Treatment Works

Plasma technology works by ionising gases in the air to create a small electrical arc. This causes an immediate contraction and tightening effect on the skin surface, with continued improvement developing over the following weeks and months.

The Accor plasma pen can be used in different ways depending on the concern being treated. A scarifying technique may be used on areas such as the chin or lower neck where skin texture is uneven or pores are enlarged. This can be used alone or alongside dotting techniques to further lift and tighten the skin, with reduced recovery time compared to more intensive protocols.

Eye Area Rejuvenation

Plasma correction is particularly effective for the eye area, where skin is thinner and more prone to laxity. Treatment can help to smooth the skin and improve firmness, particularly in areas where the eyelid begins to fold or lose support.

Tightening is often most noticeable at the outer edge of the eye, where the skin is naturally weaker. By treating small points across the area, a cumulative tightening effect is achieved, with continued improvement over time.

Results are typically visible after a single treatment, although further improvements continue to develop over several weeks.

Recovery and Results

After treatment, the skin forms tiny protective crusts which naturally fall away over approximately one week. Once healed, the skin may appear slightly pink before settling into a smoother and firmer appearance.

Sun protection is essential during the healing phase, and full healing should be achieved before further sun exposure.

Subsequent treatments are usually spaced several months apart to allow full skin recovery.

Professional Perspective

Plasma treatment requires skill, appropriate training, and high-quality equipment to achieve consistent results. As with all aesthetic procedures, outcomes depend on correct assessment and technique.

During the healing and regeneration phase, the skin continues to remodel, with results improving gradually over time.

Before and After

Before treatment: skin laxity, fine lines, or uneven texture may be visible.

After treatment: gradual tightening and smoothing develops over the following weeks, with continued improvement after a single session.
