Medik8 Professional Peels: What to Expect and How They Work

Medik8 offers a range of peels for varying skin concerns. Used individually, improvement can be seen, but more significant results are achieved with a course of 3–6 treatments depending on skin condition.

Downtime and irritation are reduced when overall skin health is improved and the skin is primed with homecare products leading up to treatment. Results are also more intense when these products are continued during the treatment programme.

The mildest Medik8 peel is the Enzyme Peel, which can be used on all skin types. It provides a fresh, clear appearance to dull, uneven complexions without recovery time. Key ingredients include papain, pomegranate, blueberries, and kiwi. This is an alternative to a chemical peel and can be used even on sensitive skin types.

Medik8 Chemical Peels include four targeted options: Age, Eye, Beta, and White, each containing a selected blend of acids.

  • Rewind: for fine lines and wrinkles

  • Even Peel: to address hyperpigmentation

  • Clarity Peel: for acne-prone skin

  • Mono Peel: formulated for a range of concerns

  • Universal Peel: a light peel option

The deeper the peel, the more dramatic the skin improvement. However, healing time is longer and the sensation more intense. Using recommended homecare products, particularly Vitamin C prior to treatment, can greatly reduce downtime. Physical sunscreen is essential during recovery.

Interestingly, the paler the pigmentation appears on the skin surface, the deeper and more stubborn it can be.
